Clergy & Staff
Rev. Emily R. McCachren
Pastor Emily (she/her) came to FPC in December 2024. This is Pastor Emily's second call to serve a church after receiving her Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary in May of 2018. Before Princeton Seminary, Emily graduated from Elon University with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies in 2015. Prior to college, Emily grew up in Morristown, New Jersey.
Pastor Emily has a heart for authentic worship that captivates each person's body, mind, or soul at some point in each worship service. Emily believes that worship includes the mission and study of the gospel. The importance of true fellowship, Christian friendship, is also central to Emily's ministry. Through Bible Study, Pastoral Care, mission projects, and worship itself, Emily desires to know each member of Christ's Church better.
Pastor Emily lives in Frenchtown with her husband, Rev. Peter Billings. Together, they have two daughters named Rosemary "Rosie" (b. 2022) and Sybil (b. 2024). They also have three pets - a dog (Marcy) and two cats (Fin and Clara). In her free time, Emily enjoys being outdoors, sewing, and playing board games.
*McCachren is pronounced Ma-Catherine*
Kyle Tinnes
Music Director & Organist
Kyle Tinnes comes to FPC in June 2025 having served nearly 27 years in congregational music ministry. A committed local, Kyle grew up in Pittstown where his love of choral music was fostered during his years at North Hunterdon High School. Studying history at the College of New Jersey, Kyle went on to take a position in the Social Studies Department at Delaware Valley Regional High School, where he currently serves as the Supervisor of the Fine and Practical Arts Department.
In nearly three decades of music ministry, Kyle has come to place an emphasis on a musical experience that blends various worship styles and provides members of the local congregation with as many opportunities as possible to participate. In additional to sacred choral, organ, and handbell music, Kyle enjoys exploring the intersection between faith and both the visual and performing arts.
A minor grad school obsession resulted in Kyle earning his Master of Arts and Letters from Drew University in 2007 and a Master of Divinity from New Brunswick Theological Seminary in 2013.
He continues to reside on the family farm in Pittstown.
